Las Gaviotas is a guard-gated community of almost three hundred homes, built on a hillside overlooking the Pacific coastline. Part of the charm of this Mexican village is the cobblestone streets lined with palm trees and beautiful bougainvillea, meandering throughout. This cozy community is located just 35 minutes south of the San Diego border.

The amenities in Las Gaviotas include an Olympic-size heated swimming pool and spa (overlooking the ocean), beach volleyball & tennis courts. This is a renowned surfing location. If fishing is your sport you can fish right here or if you prefer a boat, you can drive 40 minutes south to Ensenada. Charters are available for both sport and deep-sea fishing. You can also head north 15 minutes to the fishing village next to Fox Studios, there the local fisherman will take you out in their pongas early in the morning and back by noon. For you golfers we have two golf courses close by. One is 15 minutes north called “Real Del Mar” or 30 minutes south there is “Baja Mar”.

Personally my favorite thing to do is absolutely nothing. I make a big batch of margaritas and plant myself on the balcony, with all the magazines that I never get a chance to read at home. I enjoy the tranquility of the ocean and the beautiful white seagulls, and pelicans flying across the clear blue sky. This is my little piece of paradise, where I come to relax and unwind from my busy lifestyle at home.
